Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog, I hope you are all doing well!
In today's post I am going to be talking all about my holy grail make-up products. So these are the items that I could literally not live without and I will always repurchase again and again.

Some of these products I have been using for years now, some I have only discovered more recently, but I love them just the same! So if you would like to see my must have make-up products then please keep reading...
So, lets kick start this with primer as this is one of the first products we put on our face. I have two primers which I switch between constantly and choosing just the one was such a challenge for me. The second one I also love is the Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow, but after A LOT of thinking, I decided that the one to take top spot would have to be the Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer. I come to this conclusion firstly because of the price point - Smashbox is a much more affordable brand compared to Charlotte Tilbury. Other reasons I gravitate towards this primer more are that I love the way it feels on my skin, it is super smooth and feels super hydrating, it gives a silky flawless canvas ready for foundation and it also really does help keep my make-up in place for the whole day and stops it from sliding around my face. Quick tip - pair this little guy with the Smashbox Primer Water and you have your perfect base..they are a match made in heaven!

Now onto foundation. MAC Studio Fix Foundation is a product that I have used since I was 16 years old and I have never looked back. I try so many different foundations out but I always seem to go back to this one because it never lets me down! I do think I need to go back into a store and get re colour matched though, because I have always used the lightest shade which is NC15 but I am not sure it matches me perfectly anymore, so that task needs to go on my to do list! If you want a foundation that is going to give you a semi-matte flawless finish that lasts all day then you need this in your life! I feel like everyone and their nan has probably used this foundation, but what can I is amazing!

This is a product that I have started using more recently but it has soon become my holy grail concealer! Urban Decay did good with this one! I use the lightest shade available because by doing this the product doubles up as a highlighter as well - I would also like to buy a slightly darker shade that matches my skin tone to use on any blemishes I may have because the coverage of this stuff is perfect! A lot of people seem to compare this one to the MAC Pro-longwear one. I agree with this when comparing the coverage, as they are both really full coverage, both of them also feel weightless on the skin. However, other than these two characteristics I do not see any further similarities. The texture of these two are completely different from one another and this Urban Decay one has a much thicker consistency, which I kind of like about it because it feels like it covers more. With this one a little goes a very long way, so you need minimal product to achieve the look and coverage you desire. Another thing I love about this one is the doe-foot applicator because it makes it so much easier to apply precisely to where you want it. Hands down this is the BEST concealer I have ever used..Props to Urban Decay for creating this incredible item!

This is another product I have used since I was 16 and I have not been without it since -  I always make sure I have a back up of it in my make-up storage. The MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus in essence is a foundation in powder form, however I personally like to use this as a setting powder to keep any liquids I have applied to my face in place for the day. I do love using this because it offers a slight extra coverage on top of the foundation, but you do have to be extremely careful if you are going to use this product this way. If you apply too much it can end up looking cakey on the skin, which is not a cute make sure you tap off all of the excess on the brush before you but it into the skin. If you get it right, it looks seamless and beautiful!

Now it is time to talk about bring some warmth and dimension back into the face. This is one of my favourite steps to do in my makeup routine as it makes me look less like a ghost! My favourite product for bronzing hands down has to be my Nars Bronzing Powder in the shade Laguna. Because I am so fair skinned I normally have a hard time finding a bronzer that actually suits me and does not look too orange or too muddy on the skin, and this one just seems to work perfectly for me. I am sure you have seen this product everywhere as it is very popular and I totally understand the hype over it! It is not too warm toned, nor is it too cool toned which means it will works for so many different skin tones and will just offer that lovely summery bronzed glow to the skin.

If you have followed me and my blog for a while now you will know my most favourite highlighter has always been soft and gentle by MAC..It is an oldie but a goodie! That was until recently when I tried the shade lightscapade, also by MAC, and it has changed my whole highlight game. Where soft and gentle is more of a golden peach highlight, lightscapade is more of a frosty beige vanilla tone, which seems to be more prominent and stands out much more on my skin tone. I just place this over the tops of my cheek bones, down the bridge of my nose and on my cupids bow to give me a lovely dewy glow on the skin where the light would naturally hit. I love how much this shows up on my skin as it really helps to enhance my features more. Currently I am awaiting my Champagne Pop highlighter, which I am sure you already know is the item that was created through the Jaclyn Hill and Becca collaboration this month, so you never know how long lightscapade will hold onto the top spot for! But for the time being, this is my holy grail highlighter and I could not be without it!

Truth be told guys, blusher is on of those products that I do not actually go too crazy for and I do not think I have ever had one that I fallen head over heels in love with. In fact, if I had to miss a step out of my make-up routine, it would be this one. Mainly because I think bronzer gives a nice finishing look by itself and if you have bronzer on I do not feel like blush is essential. However, I know it is nice sometimes to just have a flush of colour across the cheeks to look more natural. That being said, if I had to choose just one brand to buy a blusher from, it would be MAC without a doubt. I feel like I go to MAC for everything because it is the safe option and it never does me wrong! I just love the texture of MAC blushes, they are really smooth, they are easy to apply, they blend out so lovely and they last for hours! I feel that blusher is one of the products that seems to disappear and fade off the face quickest throughout the day, but MAC blushes will stay put for the majority of the day in my opinion. They also have such a massive variety of shades to choose from, so there is something for everyone for every occasion. From experience from the ones I have tried I will also say that they are very pigmented, so if you have one of the more intense shades be sure to go in with a light hand so it looks as natural as me it is much easier to add product and build it up than it is to take it away to tone it down..I learnt that the hard way! A few of my favourite shades from the MAC's Powder Blush collection are Peachy Keen, Peaches, Melba, Peony Petal and Well Dressed. The blusher I am currently using is from MAC's Mineralize blush range in the shade Dainty, which is a light pink tone. Even though I do love these ones I do not know if I would class any as 'holy grail' products that I would definitely repurchase again once they run out. If you have any good recommendations for blushers, I would love to know in the comments below. What do you think? I need your help guys! I do currently have my eyes on the new Too Faced Love Flush blushes and the new Urban Decay Afterglow blushes, because the look super pretty! What are your opinions?

Okay, now I am done with face products lets move onto the eyes. I wouldn't say I have any in particular holy grail eyeshadows, I just switch between MAC and Urban Decay, so I am going to jump straight in with eyeliner. Recently I have been testing out the Fluidline gel eyeliner by MAC, but I am still learning how to work with it properly, because for as long as I can remember I have been a liquid eyeliner kind of gal! My most favourite liquid liner I have ever used comes from Charlotte Tilbury and it is her 'shodo' pen. It is literally like using a very fine felt tip pen, so it is extremely precise, really easy to apply and you have full control over the applicator. I am still trying to master my technique to get the perfect winged eyeliner and using this eyeliner pen is definitely proving the best way for me. I recommend this to any of you out there still working on that perfect cat eye winged liner..It is a life saver! It is a very luxurious product meaning it is a bit more pricey, but trust me, if it is in your price budget it is totally worth it and you need it in your life!

Mascara is another one of those products that I am not sure of weather I have found my 'holy grail' one that I must constantly have. This is because if I am going out anywhere and I need my full face of make-up, I will usually just apply my favourite Ardell Demi Wispie false lashes. However, on a daily basis the mascara I have used for a while now is the Benefit They're Real mascara. It works perfectly for me, it curls, volumes, lengthens and just does everything you want from a mascara, I cannot fault it! A few months ago I also got a sample size of the new Benefit Roller Lash mascara free with Elle Magazine, which I really like as well..I just feel like I need to put have the full sized Roller Lash to get the whole effect of it. I do not know what it is but Benefit seem to nail it every time with their mascaras!
Side note : Benefit have just released the They're Real mascara in a bunch of different colours, so be sure to check them out because I am lusting over them!

Now this will come to no surprise to most of you guys..Of course my holy grail eyebrow product to get those brows on fleek is going to come from none other than Anastasia Beverly Hills, AKA : The QUEEN of brows! I have used the Brow Wiz and the Dipbrow Pomade from this brand, and when used together I get perfect results every time. If I had to choose just one of these I would lean more towards the pomade because it really thickens my brows and makes them look fuller. However, I feel that these two should come as a pair and should not be separated as they do work best as a team! I like to first go in with the Brow Wiz to outline the brows lightly and then I will feather the pencil throughout the brow hairs to fill in any sparse areas. Once I have my basic sort of 'template' drawn on lightly I will go in with my Dipbrow Pomade on a small angled brush and use a light hand to create tiny strokes to give the illusion of fine hairs. This fills the eyebrows in further, defines them and gets them looking exactly how I want them. With the Pomade, you need VERY little product as it goes such a long way, so do not go mad when dipping your brush in the product as you could end up with unnatural looking eyebrows.
To then set them in place so they do not move all day I will use my favourite eyebrow gel, which is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Clear Brow Gel. I am telling you guys, this trio gives the definition of Perfect eyebrows!

Now that is all of my holy grail make-up products talked about, there is also two other 'tools' that I want to mention as well that I could not be without because they really help me to achieve my overall flawless make-up looks...
Firstly, is my real techniques sponge. I use this every single day to blend my foundation and my concealer in and I cannot fault it, in fact I do not know how I ever managed without it! I will first apply my foundation to my face using a brush, but then I will go in with my sponge to blend it all in further and to get rid of any brush strokes that appear on my face! This also picks up and absorbs any excess product laying on top of the skin, which stops from getting cake face! I do the exact same technique with my concealer but I will use the sponge damp for this step. So, I will apply the concealer with a brush or with my fingers to the areas I want it on my face, I will then dampen my sponge with water and using light dabbing motions, I will push the concealer into my skin until everything is blended together seamlessly. A lot of people say this is a dupe for the beauty blender, but I would love to try a real beauty blender out for myself one day soon to see what I think.

The last holy grail item I want to talk to you about is the MAC Fix Plus finishing spray. This is a new discovery of mine since they recently released the limited edition scented ones and I just had to get my hands on one! I picked mine up in the rose scent and I absolutely love it, it smells so fresh and summery and it is not too overpowering. Once I have finished applying all of my make-up, I will spray this evenly all over my face to absorb any excess product I may have on the surface of my skin, and I do not know how it does it, but it just seems to bring all of the make-up together to make it look flawless. Also, throughout the day if I feel my make-up is looking a little dull and needs a retouch, I will just spritz this over my face again to freshen it up and it looks good as new..It is like magic in a tube and is a definite must have for summer ladies!
