You have to treat yourself every so often, right? .. However in my case it seems to happen too often. With it being my Birthday last month, I had the perfect excuse to do what I do best..Go Make-up shopping!

I mean, lets be real, I did not need an excuse at all, it just makes me feel that slight bit less guilty about spending obscene amounts of money if I have a semi-good reason behind doing it.
For my Birthday I was lucky enough to receive a gift voucher for MAC cosmetics and within roughly 5 minutes of opening this present, I was on the website trying to decide what I wanted to treat myself to. Honestly, this was probably the most exciting part of my day for me because internet shopping is one of my favourite hobbies to do on my days off. (Can I actually class it as a hobby?!) Apparently it is frowned up to be in a store with no bra on, in your sweatpants, having a glass of wine?! So having the option to shop from my bed is perfect! Also, when the parcel arrives in the mail a few days later it is like receiving a little belated present to me, from me!
It has been a hot minute since I last did a MAC haul on my page and I so I thought this was a great opportunity for another one, to share with you what I got! I tried not to go too crazy this time..I did start off with a basket that added up to about £400, but I managed to control myself and narrow it down to just a handful of products which I 'needed', and that I have wanted to try out for a long time.

I have never tried any products from the skincare range at MAC before, but the Strobe Cream is a moisturiser which I have wanted to try out for quite some time now and I am so happy that I finally took the plunge and bought it! I have dehydrated skin which always appears quite dull and flat, so I am always on the look out for new products to try that can offer some luminosity to make my skin look lively and feel hydrated.
Normally I wait to use a product until after I have hauled it, but with this particular item, I could not wait..I had to try out instantly! Seriously, where has this product been all my life, and how have I managed this long without it?! It is incredible! I applied a small amount all over my face before applying my foundation and it made such a difference to my skin and the overall look of my finished make-up as well. It brightens, smoothens, moistens and it boosts the look of my dull looking skin. This is everything I could ever want from a moisturiser and I can see this quickly becoming a favourite of mine!

Did I really need another highlighter? No. Did I buy one anyway? Of course!
If you read a lot of blogs and watch a lot of beauty youtubers, I am sure you have seen this highlighter everywhere! I am pretty positive I am the only person in the beauty blogging community who has not tried this out yet, and being a highlighter junkie, that is quite surprising!
Being so fair skinned I have great difficulty when it comes to finding a highlighter that is lighter than my foundation shade and that is going to noticeably offer that highlighted effect to the desired areas of the face. I hear so many people talk so highly about this product, that I figured it was about time I tried it out. I have not got around to using this yet since I have had it, but I definitely have high hopes!

A perfectly sculpted face is the dream, right?
Since contouring has taken the beauty world by storm, I have been stocking up on a variety of products to use that are going to give me the effect of killer cheekbones and a perfectly structured face! In this little duo compact there are two different powders to help achieve just that. The first powder is a Pro Shaping Powder (highlighter) in the shade 'Emphasize', and this is actually what I bought this product for. Jaclyn Hill talks about this powder all the time and says how amazing it is for setting concealer in place underneath the eyes, so obviously I had to try it out. However, in a pan on its own, emphasize is always sold out, so once I saw it available in this set, I was 100% buying it! I cannot wait to pair this powder with the Prep + Prime Highlighter to hopefully achieve the look of bright under-eyes.
The second powder you get is one of the Pro Sculpting Powders (For Contouring) in the shade 'Bone Beige', which is perfect for accentuating bone structure. I believe this shade in the sculpting powder is only available in this compact and cannot be purchased separately. Everyday I am trying to improve my contour skills, so I am excited to try this out.

Out of all of the make-up I have, my blusher collection is definitely the smallest and I thought it was about time I started adding to it slowly to build it up. MAC blushes are some of my favourites because they last for such a long time on the cheeks, they are uber pigmented and they have a really nice texture to them. The one I picked up is from the Pro Longwear range of blushes, and it is in the shade 'Fleeting Romance', which is a gorgeous peachy shade. This kind of shade is my personal favourite in a blusher because I feel like it compliments my fair complexion and it just gives a subtle hint of colour to the cheeks, without looking overpowering. I have not used one of the MAC Pro Longwear blushes before so I am looking forward to trying this one out and seeing how it compares to just the normal powder blush.

We all love a '2-in-1' product, don't we? Something that is versatile saves time, space and money and I think we can all agree that sounds pretty good! I had never heard of these casual colours before, but when I came across them online I was intrigued and keen to give one a go. There is a huge colour range to choose from, and I opted for the shade 'relaxation', which is this lovely warm pink colour. These are a creamy formula and honestly I have never been one for cream blushes in the past, but I thought I would test this one out and see how I get on with it, and if it does not work as a blusher for me, it is still a gorgeous everyday neutral pink colour to wear on the lips.

I think everyone and their nan has this brush, and I am finally jumping on the bandwagon! Yes, it is the ultimate brush for blending out eyeshadow..the 217!
Building up a collection of make-up brushes is something which I feel I really need to focus on more, because having the right tools really does have a massive impact on how your make-up looks and wears throughout the day. This brush has really fine, densely packed fibres which are arranged in an oval shape, so it is perfect for fitting into the crease to blend out product. This was one of the items I ordered which I was most excited to use, and as you can see, it is already slightly dirty because I just could not wait to use it. I have used it once since I got it and I am already obsessed! Blending is key to any eye make-up look and this brush makes the task so much is phenomenal and you need it in your brush collection!

I hope you have all enjoyed this mini MAC haul, hopefully it hasn't made you want to go and spend too much money now! Let me know in the comments below if any of these are products that you love or that you want to get your hands on as well!
