For me, 2015 has been an incredible year for beauty. It was the year that saw me begin to get way more into the beauty side of blogging, encouraging me to stray away from my usual make-up bag essentials and step out of my comfort zone by trying out lots of different products.
By doing this, it made me realise how strong my passion for make-up still is and how much I want to try and pursue a career in the beauty industry.
I have been on a bit of a make-up buying rampage for pretty much the whole of 2015 (my bank balance would agree) in attempt to grow my collection. Some of these new additions have become favourites of mine, whilst others will remain in my draws and rarely get used. As for the items that I have been absolutely loving, I thought I would share them with you today as a little round-up of my overall 2015 beauty favourite finds.

MAC Strobe Cream
MAC Strobe Cream is a product that I actually came across more towards the end of 2015, but ever since I have been obsessed with it! As I have dry skin I am always on the look out for great hydrating moisturisers that will help prep my skin ready for make-up, and this one is a total winner. I simply apply it all over my face before primer or foundation and it leaves my skin with a gorgeous healthy glow, it makes my skin feel silky smooth and it just offers an amazing base for make-up. I cannot recommend the Strobe Cream enough and it will definitely be staying with me throughout 2016.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
Although I have tried out so many amazing foundations over the last year, Estee Lauder Double Wear was the one which really stood out to me. Every time I have somewhere to go that requires my make-up to look flawless this is my go-to, no other foundation even crosses my mind and my hand just immediately gravitates towards Double Wear. I know this will never let me down and I see it as a bit of a comfort blanket for me because of that reason. Yes, it is a bit of a heavy duty foundation, but for when you are having a bad skin day and you just want to cover up all of your unwanted imperfections, this will be your saviour!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer
My most used concealer since it was released last year has been the Urban Decay Naked Skin. I honestly do not know what I did without this, and now I cannot ever see myself looking back from it. It offers a great coverage to hide any dark circles, it is very lightweight, it does not crease and it is available in such an incredible shade range. Having such a pale complexion makes it extremely hard for me to find a concealer that also doubles up as a highlighter, but when this one was bought out it was like all of my wishes had been answered! I use the fairest shade which I believe is 'Fair Neutral' and it is a great shade for me to use to achieve a highlighted look under my eyes (For reference my skin tone is NC15 in MAC foundations). I absolutely adore this concealer and until something better comes along, I will not be switching.

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder
Having dry skin means I do not always have to powder my face, but honestly it is something that I do actually like to do on a daily basis just to ensure that my foundation stays in place all day. For about 4 years previous to when I started blogging my absolute 'ride or die' powder was MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus. It was only from the middle of 2015 that I decided I wanted to switch things up and try some thing new. I had heard SO many amazing reviews from other bloggers and youtubers about the Rimmel Stay Matte powder and I had to check it out for myself. Since I started using this one, I have not used anything else on a daily basis. I very rarely grab for my MAC one anymore because honestly this Rimmel does just as good of a job at setting my make-up and it is only £3.99! I am over the moon that I have found an incredible alternative that also saves me money as well.

Becca X Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector
It will come as no surprise to any of you that Champagne Pop has made it into my yearly favourites for 2015. I have talked about this highlighter many times on my blog previously and I cannot get enough of it. Champagne Pop is a peachy golden toned powder that I am forever laying up on my cheekbones. What with the whole 'strobing' trend coming about this year, I tried out a fair few highlighters, but hands down nothing even compares to this one. I will never get over how beautiful it is on the skin and I wish I could have a lifetime supply. You can read my full review on Champagne Pop here where I go into further detail about why I love this so much.

MAC Prep & Prime Fix +
Onto another product that we all knew I would be putting out there, MAC Fix + spray. This is literally like a miracle product. I have no idea how it does it, but it can take you from cake face to goddess in a matter of seconds. I will never know why I did not try this out sooner because only now do I realise what I have been missing out on! We all know the struggle of going slightly overboard occasionally with powders on our face, but if you have this spray, there is no need to worry about that. I simply spritz it all over my face when I have completed my make-up and it works it magic, absorbs any excess product and leaves your make-up looking completely flawless and more 'natural'. I can see this being a forever favourite!

Charlotte Tilbury Feline Flick Pen
2015 for me was the year of trying to master a winged eyeliner. Unfortunately I am still struggling to get it perfect, but with the help of this Charlotte Tilbury Feline Flick Pen I am getting there slowly. Whenever I did a make-up look last year that I wanted to incorporate a winged liner in, this is what I would use because it basically makes all the hard work much more simple. It feels as if you are just using a felt tip pen and drawing across the lash line of your eye, meaning it seems easier to get your liner much more precise. I absolutely love this pen and I will continue to use it until I fully master the art of winged eyeliner. Fingers crossed, 2016 is my year!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Eyebrow Products
Eyebrows were a major thing in 2015 and rightly so. They are what frame your face, balance your features and define your eyes - without them we would be looking very strange (for a good giggle, google 'people without eyebrows', and you will realise the importance of them!). For years I used to have HD brows done and for some silly reason I decided to stop and began to do them myself. This was the worst decision I ever made as one day I got a little bit 'pluck happy' and ended up going from near enough perfect eyebrows that I had been working towards, to very unflattering, stick thin lines. If I could give any of you one bit of beauty advise it would be, 'never do your eyebrows yourself, always go to a professional', trust me they are something worth paying for! Ever since then I have had to draw over my eyebrows to fill in any sparse areas and make them appear fuller, whilst I attempt to grow them out. To do this I have always used products from Anastasia Beverly Hills, AKA 'The Brow Queen'. I use all three of these products together and they honestly are a match made in heaven! I read somewhere that these are the highest rated eyebrow products around at the minute and I completely understand why. If you have not tried them before I recommend them highly! I am about to do a new order on all of these now and I plan on doing a blog post all about them very soon, so keep your eyes peeled!

MAC Velvet Teddy Lipstick
When rumours started early last year that Velvet Teddy by MAC was Kylie Jenner's signature nude lip colour, every make-up fanatic went CRAZY for it, including myself. 2015 was the year of nude lips and I loved it. I now own about 15 different nude lipsticks, but the one I always grab to wear is Velvet Teddy. It is a deep-toned beige shade which is perfect for an every day nude lip and I strongly believe that everyone needs this shade in their lipstick collection.

Beauty Blender
I have got big love for this little sponge and hands down, the beauty blender is probably one of my best beauty finds of 2015.  Every time I wear make-up now, I apply my foundation with one of these sponges and it makes so much difference compared to a brush. It blends product out seamlessly, it does not leave any streaks on the face and it absorbs any excess product that may be lurking. As well as for foundation, I also use the beauty blender to apply concealer under my eyes as I feel this blends it all in so well and helps me achieve the best possible end result. One tip that I cannot stress enough is to make sure the sponge is super damp when you use it, this is what makes all of the difference as it will help disperse the product evenly and smoothly. These day I very rarely find myself using a foundation brush to do my base make-up as I feel like the beauty blender does a better job at blending and it just gives overall better results.
A cheaper alternative is the Real Techniques Complexion Sponge and honestly this works just as well.

There are many more beauty products which I tried in 2015 that I absolutely loved and will still continue to use regularly. This handful I have shared with you today are just the ones that really stood out to me as my 'go-to' products from 2015, that I know I will go back to time and time again and I would definitely repurchase each and every one of them. What were your favourite beauty items from 2015? I would love to hear some of your recommendations, so be sure to leave me a comment and let me know!

Thank you all so much for reading. Do not forget to follow me on Bloglovin' to make sure you do not miss out on any future posts, and in that case, I will speak to you soon.
