DRUGSTORE MAKE-UP || MINI HAUL

Even though I am a bit of a high-end make-up enthusiast (there is no denying it), I still love popping into boots or superdrug every now and again to browse around the makeup aisles to look for new finds from my favourite drugstore brands.
Something I would love to try and and start doing is incorporate more affordable make-up onto my blog. Looking back at previous blog posts I realise that the majority of the products I share on here are all from more high-end brands, meaning they often come with a hefty price tag, which I understand is not in everybody's budget. In order to try and accommodate for everyone, I would like to change this. I will be the first to admit that I do have an overall preference to the more high-end beauty products, but regardless, you can still come across some amazing finds at the drugstore as well!
On New Years Day, my mum and I decided to take a trip down to our local Boots store just to have a look around, but it was kind of inevitable that I would end up leaving with a bag of make-up, lets be honest. They had a couple of offers on when I went in store, which is something I absolutely love about Boots. They always seem to have these '3 for 2' or 'buy one get one half price' offers, which is perfect for us beauty junkies! Admittedly these offers can sometimes encourage me to impulse buy, but it is actually a great way to try out a variety of products at an even cheaper price..Who does't love saving a bit of money, ey?
On my visit I picked up a small handful of products, and all of these are products that I have actually wanted to try out for quite some time now - No impulse buying this time, just smart decision making (I'm learning)! This is my first ever drugstore haul I have done here on my blog, but hopefully it is the first of many!

Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer
I love Soap & Glory for their bath and skincare products, but I have never tried anything from their make-up range before, even after hearing incredible reviews about some of their items. I thought it was about time that I finally got some products to try out, so I went for the two that I have wanted to try for ages now. The first one is the Kick Ass Concealer, and this is a small, 3-piece compact that includes a brightening concealer, a complexion concealer and a transparent powder. I got the shade Light and I thought this may work well at cleaning up my eyebrows, to keep them looking sharp after filling them in. If I get on well with it, I will be sure to let you know!

Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil
The next item I got was the Archery brow pencil. I have heard SO many amazing things about this product, but I have struggled to pluck up the courage to stray away from my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz..until now. I believe they have two of these pencils in their range, one includes a spoolie and the other one includes a tint. I opted for the one with the spoolie because I find they come in really handy to help brush through your brows and disperse product evenly. I am excited to try this pencil out and see how it compares to my Brow Wiz!

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
The Healthy Mix foundation is actually a repurchase for me, I think I am onto my third bottle of it now. I tried this out for the first time at the beginning of 2015 after having many recommendations, and since then I have never looked back. It is now my everyday foundation that I use for when I am working or just popping out to run errands (days like that just do not call for Giorgio Armani foundation)! Healthy Mix foundation offers a great medium coverage that is buildable, it feels lightweight on the skin, it radiates a healthy glow and it lasts for a good 12 hours on the skin. I could not possibly want anything more from a foundation and I cannot recommend this one enough. I used to use MAC Studio Fix foundation on a daily basis, but I actually think I prefer this now, and as a MAC addict that is very hard for me to say!
Bourjois also offer this in a serum formula if you are wanting something that has a more light coverage.

Bourjois Bronzing Powder
Whilst the offers were on, I thought I would take my chance at trying the Bourjois bronzing powder that I have heard so much about. Having such a pale complexion, I always have to bronze up my skin to stop from looking ill, and I am always on the look out for new products to try that will help me achieve a 'natural' sun-kissed look. I do not believe I have ever tried a bronzer from the drugstore before, so I am looking forward to seeing what this one has to offer. Similarly to some Too Faced products, this bronzer is also infused with a sweet chocolate scent, and honestly it smells good enough to eat (I would not recommend doing that though)!

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
I would say that this is definitely the most talked about concealer from the drugstore in the blogging community and I think I am probably the only person that has not tried it. I hear nothing but raving reviews about the Age Rewind concealer, and I have my fingers crossed that it lives up to the high expectations I have. I am a bit of a concealer lover, I have so many in collection and I have tried my fair share from drugstore brands. I will be honest though, none have really 'wowed' me so far and I always stick to Urban Decay, Nars or MAC, but if the reviews are anything to go by, I think I am going to like this one from Maybelline. After I have tried it a few times, I may sort out a little review post to share my thoughts with you.
Let me know if you like the idea of me featuring more drugstore products on my blog and I will absolutely continue to do so. What are your favourite drugstore brands and products? Do you have any recommendations for me? I would love to know and hopefully I can discover more incredible items!

Thank you all so much for reading. Do not forget to follow me on Bloglovin' to make sure you do not miss out on any future posts, and in that case, I will speak to you soon.

Lots of Love,
ALICIA
