After receiving so many amazing make-up and beauty gifts for Christmas, I thought January was going to be a month where I would be able to keep my spending to a minimal and purchase only the 'essential' products that I needed..oh how wrong I was.
At the beginning of the month I headed to the Bullring shopping centre in Birmingham, and I knew that my bank balance was in trouble the second I stepped foot in Selfridges! Being as obsessed with make-up as I am, the beauty department in Selfridges is like my playground and honestly I could spend a good few hours in there, going around all the different luxurious brands, testing out and swatching products. Whenever I go there you can guarantee it that I will leave with a yellow bag of goodies and a list of items that I want to purchase in the future!
This time I think I got slightly over excited (Particularly when I got to the Tom Ford counter), and for a second I thought that I had an unlimited supply of money, which meant I spent a small fortune on just a handful of make-up items. I would never normally do this, but I was totally lost in the moment and it seemed like a good idea at the time. As always I justified my purchases with the quote, 'but it will make good blog content'!

Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo
Despite the fact that I have lusted over the Tom Ford make-up range for about two years now, I have never actually purchased anything from there before (crazy I know)
Of course when I got into Selfridges, this was the first counter I went to, just for a 'browse', but after about an hour and nearly £100 later I left with just two products..I know, slightly ridiculous! The first item I picked up was the Skin illuminating powder duo. This gorgeous compact includes two highlighting powders that were created to capture the two most flattering types of natural light on the skin; the soft white shade is like the luminous glow of daylight, whilst the radiant golden shade is like the romantic illusion of candlelight. The powders can be applied individually or if you are wanting to achieve a multi-dimensional glow, you can layer them up together. Having such a pale complexion makes me a bit sceptical as to wether both shades will work for my skin tone, but I have my fingers crossed! Since this whole 'Strobing' trend came about last year, I have turned into a bit of a highlighter junkie and I am so excited to give this one a try to see if it is worth the price tag!

Tom Ford Lip Colour
A Tom Ford lipstick is something that every make-up obsessed girl needs in her collection. They look so deluxe and honestly the packaging just gets me every time..Looking at a stand full of these lipsticks was mesmerising and I literally wanted to take one in each shade (I am hoping I win the lottery soon to feed this addiction)! After swatching about 15 different colours on my hand, I opted for this one which is called 'Casablanca', and it is a rose brown shade with mauve undertones. The colour is showing up a lot darker on my camera than it is in person, but this is a great everyday pinky-nude shade (because I just needed another one to add to the 30 I already own)

Make-up Forever Pro Bronze Fusion
One of the most talked about bronzers in the blogging and more so, youtube community I would definitely say is the Pro Bronze Fusion from Make-up Forever. Every youtuber I watch seems to have this in their collection and they have nothing but good things to say about it. For so long now I have wanted to try one of these famous bronzers, but until mid 2015 Make-up Forever was not accessible in the UK, so it was always extremely hard to get a hold of their products..I am so glad that this is not the case any more! As soon as I saw the huge Make-up Forever stand in Debenhams, I got overly excited and I knew 100 percent I would be leaving with one of the bronzers. When I got home and unpacked my bags I faced the huge debate of wanting to use the bronzer but also wanting to take pristine pictures of it first for my blog (fellow bloggers will understand the struggle), so I had to control myself and save it! Once I had taken pictures that I was happy with, I dived in to it straight away. I don't want to say too much about it as I am planning on doing a little review soon, but I will tell you that I absolutely LOVE it. Without a doubt this is one of my new favourites bronzers already!

Laura Mercier Translucent Setting Powder
Another product that is massively talked about in the blogging and youtube community is the Laura Mercier Translucent can see where I get my inspiration and influences from for my purchases! I have wanted this powder for SO long and honestly I have no idea why I have not purchased it before now. Last year the whole 'baking' trend took off in the make-up industry and I have heard that this is one of the best powders to use to achieve great looking results. That is exactly what I plan on using this powder for and I am excited to see if it is as good as everybody says..I have high expectations!

Victoria Secret Fragrance Mist
The Fragrance Mists from Victoria Secret are something that I love for when I am at work. I don't know about you, but I hate wearing my most favourite, expensive perfume for a day at work, because I feel like it is a total waste..I would rather save it for special occasions and make the bottle last longer! Whilst I was in Victoria Secret I sprayed so many of these fragrance mists, that I ended up with a bit of a headache..there are so many to choose from and the possibilities of scents are endless! The one I went for in the end is called 'Sheer Love' and this one is a very floral, feminine scent with notes of white cotton and pink lily. It smells heavenly! This spray now lives in my handbag, and if I am at work or out and about running errands, whenever I get the chance I will spritz myself with this and I feel like I am smelling fresh again. I definitely want to pick up some more of these fragrance mists again soon, because they are just so handy to have!

Victoria Secret Ice Angel Push-Up bra
I was in Victoria Secret so obviously I was going to come away with a new bra! If you watched the Victoria Secret Fashion Show back in December then you may recognise this one, as it was in fact worn by Stella Maxwell in the Ice Angels themed segment of the show. When I set eyes on the bra in store I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame and as pricey as it was, I could not leave it there..I believe it was meant to be, as it was the last one in stock and it was my size! I love all the detailing on the cups and on the straps, everything about it is just so stunning and somewhat elegant! Unfortunately this bra was a Limited Edition piece for the Ice Angels Collections for the 2015 Victoria Secret Fashion Show, so I am not sure you will be able to find it anywhere online anymore.

Looking back at it now, I cannot quite believe how much I spent in one shopping day on just half a dozen items, but since I had a little bit of Christmas money left over, I decided it would be okay to go ahead and treat myself! It has to be done every so often, right? What are your favourite high-end brands that you like to shop at when you want to spoil yourself? Tom Ford is definitely one of my new personal faves!

Thank you all so much for reading. Do not forget to follow me on Bloglovin' to make sure you do not miss out on any future posts, and in that case, I will speak to you soon.

Lots of Love,
