MAC Fix + is a lightweight, mineral rich finishing mist that refreshes the skin and finishes make-up. Many people first deem this as just being 'fancy water', but I assure you that it has so many more uses than most people would think, and because of that it is definitely a make-up enthusiasts most essential product to have in their collection.
Beauty Bloggers and Make-up Artists have been raving about MAC fix + for years now, and for good reason too. I have only recently jumped on the band wagon and I have quickly discovered all of the incredibly useful multi-functional uses that it possesses. Already I can say that it is one of the most amazing products I have ever purchased and I now I have tried it, I could never be without it.
If you are not aware of what MAC fix + is, one of the biggest misconceptions of the product is that people initially think it is a setting spray, when it is in fact a finishing spray. It is not a product that is made to keep your make-up in place all day, rather it is something that you are supposed to spritz over your face after make-up application and it reduces any look of powder or cakiness on the skin, and it just freshens your entire face to give a more soft-focus appearance. However, do not be fooled into thinking you can only use it as a finishing actually has a multitude of uses other than just that.

Hydrating spray || Before you start applying your make-up, spray your entire face with some MAC fix + and it almost works as a primer, as it gives your make-up something extra to cling onto. I am not saying that it will help with the longevity of your make-up throughout the day, but it definitely locks in moisture and hydrates the skin, leaving you with a luminous, smooth base ready to apply your make-up on to. Also, because of the minerals that the spray has in it, it doubles up as being beneficial to the skin.

Finishing spray || As I mentioned previously, the nature of this product and it's 'sole' purpose is actually to be used as a finishing spray. So, once you have completely finished applying your make-up, you are to spritz fix + all over your face, leave it to dry for a few seconds to let it work its magic, and it will reduce any excess powdery look on the face and it will leave you looking dewy and more natural.

Mixing medium || If you use loose pigments regularly, then MAC fix + is a must have for you! To get the best results, simply pick up some of the pigment onto your brush, then spray the brush with a light layer of fix + before applying the pigment onto your eyelid. Not only does this method intensify the colour pay off of the pigment, but it also help the pigments last a lot longer on the eyes.

Intensifies powder shadows || Following along those same lines, MAC fix + will also help boost the pigmentation of your powder eyeshadows as well. If you have a powder eyeshadow that does not have as much colour pay off as you would like, then the same as you would do with your pigments, take some eyeshadow onto your brush, spray with the fix + and then apply the shadow onto your eyes. By doing this it will transform the eyeshadow and you will get a much richer colour that is a lot more vibrant.

Dilute foundation or concealer || This is a great use for the summer months, when you do not want a lot of product on your face. All you need to do is take some foundation or concealer onto the back of your hand, spritz it with some fix +, mix the two together with your brush, and apply it onto your face. This will offer a much more sheer coverage without feeling heavy on the skin.

To help blend foundation or concealer || One of my favourite ways to use fix + is to blend out my foundation, concealer or cream contour. I use my beloved beauty blender and I will dampen it with fix + and then using patting potions I will blend out the product on my face. This helps to soften up the product and make it much easier to blend out, giving it a more seamless finish.

Fix your dried up liner or brow pomade || If you have a dried up gel eyeliner or brow pomade, do not throw them away and let them be a waste! Take your fix + and spritz it into the container, using a brush or a spatula mix it together until you get that creamy consistency back and it will be good to use again! This is also a technique that works well even if your liner is not dried out, as it will soften the product to give a smoother application and you can achieve a really fine line.

Use on your body || This one may come as a surprise to most of you, but MAC fix + is not only for your can also use it on your body. During the months where you fake tan, this is a great product to use on the particularly dry areas of your body, like your elbows and your knees, where you want to preserve your sunless tan. Just spray a little bit of fix + on these places before you moisturise, and you will add extra hydration on to your skin and be good to go!

For a product that was created to just be used as a finishing mist, I cannot quite believe just how many incredible uses it does have..I am sure there are even more as well that I just have not discovered yet! MAC fix + is just an all round amazing product that I would recommend to anybody and need it in your make-up collection!
Do you have MAC fix +? What are your favourite ways to use it?
