Is sculpting your face a part of your daily make-up routine? Do you love great quality products that come with an affordable price tag? If you answered yes to both of those, then you are going to go crazy for the new Infallible Sculpt Range by L'Oréal Paris.
Contouring has arguably been the biggest trend in beauty over the last decade. I feel like a few years back, people would have sniggered at the thought of applying dark brown shades underneath the cheekbones to achieve a super chiseled look, however here we are in 2016 and contouring plays just as bigger part in our routines as what a slick winged liner does.
This technique has taken the beauty world by storm, and over the last year a variety of different brands, from high-street, to high-end, to premium have been getting in on the action, and they have all been releasing their own contouring products into their collections. Whilst L'Oréal may be a little bit late to the party, it is better late than never, right? They have recently launched a whole line of products, dedicated to the art of sculpting and contouring. What is very unique about this new range is that it is not only aimed at contour powders and creams to help you get those desired killer cheekbones, but L'Oréal have actually created sculpting products for the entire face, including mascara, eyeliner, blush, lip pens and even brow gels...it is extremely innovative!
Where high-street contour products are concerned, I have actually been very experimental. Whenever I come across a brand in boots or super drug that has released contouring products, I always pick them up to try, and in all honesty, I have not found anything yet that really 'WOWs' me. However, with the L'Oréal infallible sculpt range being endorsed by none other than Mario Dedivanovic, I have extremely high hopes for these products! If you do not already know, Mario is a celebrity make-up artist (commonly known for being the Kardashian's make-up artist) and he is basically the contouring king...If that isn't a stamp of approval, then I don't know what is! Before the launch of this range, L'Oréal actually got Mario to come over to London to host a sculpting class, where he used a model, and he completely transformed her bare skin, to look naturally defined and sculpted, using nothing but these new L'Oréal products. He makes it look so easy to achieve, and that is what everyone needs to remember..Yes, contouring can be quite intimidating at first, but it not supposed to be scary or difficult. This L'Oréal sculpt range has specifically been designed to ensure that anybody can discover just how simple this old time technique is really meant to be.

Infallible Sculpt Contouring Base || Now, L'Oréal label this innovative product as a 'contouring base' rather than a foundation (it is basically a foundation), but whatever you perceive it to be, there is no denying that it is a very unique concept. It has been designed to be used as the first step in your make-up routine, and you would apply it exactly as you would your foundation. L'Oréal claim that the contouring base offers a light, but build-able coverage, to even out skin tone and give a smoothing effect, to prepare for the ultimate contour. It has been created to work perfectly in tandem with contouring and highlighting products, giving them something to 'stick to', ensuring that they hold for up to 24 hours. This base also 'ensures seamless blending of sculpting products', as it is half the density of the standard infallible foundation, meaning you will not have an overload of products on your skin. Available in only two shades, light and medium/dark, there is not the greatest colour range to choose from and if you have a darker skin tone, neither of these would work for you unfortunately - hopefully there are more shades to come though! I opted for the shade light because obviously, I am as pale as a ghost, and honestly, I have been pleasantly surprised with the results I have had from this base. At first I was not sure if I was going to like it or not, but after trying it out a couple of times already, I really do! It is lightweight, it offers a lovely light-to-medium coverage, it blends like a dream and it actually looks very natural on the skin. It also has a beautiful demi-matte finish, that offers a warm, healthy glow to the skin, which I really love about it. I can definitely see this being a bit of a go-to for me in spring and summer, as it is everything I would look for in a base/foundation for the warmer wether! The only issue I have come across so far is that I find it does oxidise on my skin - after about 30 mins my face is a darker shade than my neck - only slightly, but still noticeable. However, in the summer when I have more of a tan, this will not be too much of a problem. I definitely wouldn't let this stop me from wearing it, because other than that slight flaw, I am extremely impressed!

Infallible Sculpt Contouring Palette || Formulated with the same base ingredients as the contouring base, the contouring duo's have again been created for flawless application. Turning from a creamy consistency into a powdery finish once buffed into the skin, it is incredibly easy to blend, achieving a seamless result. This palette is also available in two shades, light and medium/dark and both contain two different coloured creams; a lighter shade for highlighting and a darker shade for contouring. Simply apply the contour shade to the hallows of your cheekbones, down either side of the bridge of your nose and across the temples - For a slimming effect you can also take it below the jawline. Doing these steps will really sculpt out your facial features, making them look more structured and defined. The highlighting shade, you can take across the tops of your cheekbones, down the centre of your nose, and also the centre of you forehead and chin, doing this will really help to brighten those areas. If you are new to contouring, then inside this palette you will find a small guide which shows you exactly where you should be applying each shade. Out of the two, I went for the shade light, because I like that the contour colour is more cool toned in this one, as it suits my complexion much more and I feel like it recreates a more natural shadow effect than a warm toned contour. As I mentioned earlier, I have tried my fair share of drugstore contour duo's and none have impressed me that much, but with this one, so far so good - I am honestly really enjoying it! It is an extremely nifty little kit that is very easy to use. The creams are well pigmented and easy to blend out, to give a natural but defined look. They also last a really long time on the skin, which is impressive for cream products. This contour palette is the star of the collection for me, and I would 100 percent recommend trying it out for yourself.

Infallible Sculpt False Lash Mascara || Usually it takes a lot for me to stray away from my beloved Benefit 'They're real' mascara, but as soon as I heard about the quirky concept behind this new L'Oréal sculpt mascara, I had to try it out for myself. The brush has been uniquely shaped with the idea of that whilst you are applying mascara to your eyelashes for volume and lift, the brush can also 'tight-line' the water line at the same time...clever, right? As someone who finds tight-lining a difficult and quite uncomfortable technique to grasp, I figured why not give it a try and see if it works. After putting the mascara to use a couple of times now, I can say that, to be honest with you, I am not completely impressed. It does not help in the process of tight-lining for me at all..I do not know if I am using it wrong and not holding the brush at the right angle, but it just does not work for me, which is quite disappointing as this was originally my most anticipated product out of the entire range. However, it is not all bad..If I forget about that concept and just give my opinions on this as a normal mascara, I think it is incredible and I have never found anything like it in the drugstore before. It separates and curls my lashes, whilst adding plenty of lift and great length. It is suitable for both my top lashes and my bottom lashes, and I find that it really opens up my eyes, making them look bigger and brighter. Even though I have not managed to achieve the results I expected with the new sculpt mascara, I am still happy with it and I will continue to use it because I really do love how it makes my eyelashes look. If anybody has tried this mascara and has any tips on how I can get it to tight-line as well, then please leave me a comment below..I would love to know if it just me using it wrongly!

Even though I have come across a couple of very slight flaws in some of these products I have tried out from the new infallible sculpt range, over all I am very impressed with what L'Oréal have managed to achieve with their creations. Each product is more exciting and innovative than the next, and they have proved that contouring can be made so easy for everybody, with just a few simple steps. After trying these few items, I cannot wait to get my hands on some of the other products from the collection to see if there is any more hidden gems to be found! Out of the three products I have shared with you today, I can confirm that I am most in awe with the sculpting contour palette, and I would recommend it to everybody who is after a subtle and naturally sculpted contour!

L'Oréal Paris is one of my most favourite high-street brands, as they prove that you do not need to spend a fortune to look and feel great everyday..Everything in their new sculpt range is under ten pounds! I really love seeing affordable brands like L'Oréal pushing boundaries and releasing products that are truly cutting-edge and creative..it is always exciting to see what they come up with next!
