Tailoring my make-up to suit the Season is something which I personally love to do, as I feel that it really does give me the opportunity to discover new products and new looks that I absolutely love..It's always good to have the occasional make-up refresh, right?!
So, with that being said, now that we are officially in Summer here in the UK (even though you wouldn't not believe it from the weather!), I have decided to switch up the make-up products that I have been using on a daily basis for the past few months, and I have replaced them with new, more Summer appropriate products. Personally, I believe that make-up in the Summer is all about that 'no make-up', make-up look, which looks super natural, yet still very put together at the same time, and I feel that all of the products which I am currently using, really help me achieve my perfect Summer look. Visualise sun-kissed bronzed skin, a beautiful radiant glow, a subtle flush of colour on the cheeks and a light pop of colour on the lips..The epitome of fresh, feminine, Summer make-up!

M.A.C Cosmetics Strobe Cream and Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation || As much as I love the super minimal make-up look in the Summertime, I do still like to have a little bit of coverage as well. To get the best of both, what I like to do is mix my moisturiser in with my favourite foundation, to create a more natural finish. The particular foundation that I am currently loving is the latest one from Charlotte Tilbury, which is the much coveted, Magic Foundation. This one is perfect for the Summer months as it feels completely weightless, almost like it is just a second skin, and it offers a lovely medium-buildable coverage which still appears very natural looking. My favourite way to wear this foundation in the warmer weather is to apply 2-3 pumps of the product onto the back of my hand, and mix it together with a pea sized amount of my trusty Strobe Cream from M.A.C Cosmetics. I then like to dot this mixture evenly around my face, and using my beloved Beauty Blender I will blend everything into my skin, until it looks seamless. Doing this really helps to sheer out the foundation as much as possible to offer a gorgeous 'barely there' coverage, which looks fresh, radiant and natural..Perfect for Summer!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer || The one problem that comes with having such a sheer foundation base, is that it becomes very apparent of how little sleep you got the night before..So, you've got to conceal those under eyes, Honey! To do this I like to use my favourite concealer of all time, which is the cult classic, Naked Skin concealer from Urban Decay. I only use a small amount of the product as this concealer has such great coverage, and I just apply it directly onto the dark circles that surround my eyes. Then once again, using my damp Beauty Blender, I will blend the concealer into the foundation using light, bouncing motions. To keep everything looking flawless, I will also apply this concealer to any blemishes or any other imperfections that I have on my skin which the foundation has not quite managed to cover completely on it's own. Albeit this concealer is a medium-to-full coverage product, it still appears very natural looking on the skin, and it does not look too heavy under the eyes either..It is practically traceless!

Chanel Soleil Tan De Chanel Bronzer || Sun-Kissed, Bronzed skin is what it is all about in the Summer, so of course, it is the perfect time to apply copious amounts of bronzer! My all-time favourite bronzer for the Summer is unsurprisingly, the Soleil Tan De Chanel bronzer from Chanel. This is the one bronzing product that you will find lurking around in my make-up bag every single Summer, without a doubt. As this is a cream product rather than a powder, it achieves a much softer looking finish on the skin, which in turn, appears a lot more natural looking as well. I simply apply just a small amount of the product onto my skin, in all of the areas that the sun would naturally bronze my face, and using a flat top kabuki brush, I blend it in until it looks totally flawless. The result this creates is a beautifully sun-kissed complexion, that looks fresh and radiant. As I am quite fair naturally, I really love finding amazing bronzing products that I can use to enhance my features and which make my skin look healthier and happier..I have definitely found a winner with this one!

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit || Using powders on the skin in Summer is something that not many people like to do, as it can mattify the dewy base you have created, and it can also end up looking somewhat heavy and unnatural on the skin..However, because I have quite oily skin, this is a step that I have to include, in order to prevent any of the liquid and cream products that I have used from sliding around my face, and to keep them in place all day long. Rather than using a standard translucent powder all over my face to set everything, recently I have re-discovered my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette and I have been loving using all of the powders in this compact to finish off my base. You can find my full review of this palette here, where I explain exactly how I use each powder, but in a nutshell..I mix the top right and top left shade together, and using a large powder brush, I lightly dust these all over my face, to set all of my previous base products. Then using the top centre shade on a fan brush, I like to subtly highlight all of the high-points of my face. The powder on the bottom right is what I like to use to further bronze up my skin, so I apply it over the top of the Chanel cream bronzer, just to add a little bit more dimension to my face. Lastly, to bring a flush of colour back to my face, I will use either the bottom left shade or the bottom centre shade and apply one of these to the apples of my cheeks. All six of the powders in this palette are absolutely incredible and they are so perfect for a Summer make-up look. Not only do they offer that gorgeous, 'glowing from within' look that keeps the skin looking luminous and dewy throughout the day, but they also feel lightweight on the skin and look invisible as well!
Illamasqua Beyond Powder Highlighter || As we all know by now, there is no such thing as too much highlighter, and although I live by this motto all year around, I really do not hold back with highlighters at all in the Summer! With most make-up items I would say less is more (especially when your trying to create a 'barely there' make-up look!), but where highlight is concerned more is definitely more..You make sure they can see those cheekbones from space! One of the highlighters that I have discovered and fallen in love with more recently is the new, Beyond Powder Highlighter from Illamasaqua, in the shade 'OMG'. This is a gorgeous, light champagne shade which has a lovely pearlescent sheen to it..It is very wearable, and when it is applied to the high-points of the face, it catches the light in such a beautiful way. Even though an intensely highlighted look is not going to give the most natural, barely there finish, it is going to give your skin that stunning, dewy and radiant appearance which we all desire in the Summer time.
You can find out more about this highlighting powder here, in my full review post.

Charlotte Tilbury Rock 'N' Kohl Eyeliner || On the eyes I like to keep it super simple in the Summer, and all I do is smudge a dark brown eyeliner into my lash line. Using a brown liner really defines and shapes my eyes to enhance them further, and it is not as harsh as what using a black eye liner is, so I really love this for a more 'no make-up' make-up look. The Rock 'N' Kohl eyeliner in the shade Barbarella Brown, from Charlotte Tilbury is the pencil liner that I have been using recently, and it works perfectly for creating the look that I want to achieve. If I want to add more dimension to my eyes, then sometimes I will take the bronzer shade out the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette and I will just run this through my crease on a fluffy brush. This just adds a little more depth to the eyes, but it still looks incredibly subtle and natural as well.

Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara || To balance out the simplicity of the eyes, I like to make a bit of a statement with the lashes, by making them look full and fluttery. To achieve this look my favourite mascara to use is the Full Fat Lashes one from Charlotte Tilbury. This is a 5-in-1 mascara, which curls, separates, adds volume, adds drama and also maximises length..It is basically the ultimate mascara! I apply two coats of the product onto both my upper and lower lashes, and it immediately opens up my eyes and makes me look refreshed and more awake.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer || No matter how much of a natural make-up look I am going for, I can never miss out filling in my crazily sparse eyebrows. For a more intense looking brow, I would usually use my Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip-Brow Pomade to shape and fill in  my eyebrows, but for when I want to achieve a more natural, feathery looking brow, I like to use my Brow Definer pencil, also from Anastasia Beverly Hills. For the most natural looking results, I hold the pencil about half way up and I lightly draw over any sparse areas of my eyebrows using little strokes to mimic the look of tiny brow hairs. Filling my brows in this way gives my eyebrows the shape and definition that they unfortunately lack on their own, whilst still keeping them appearing natural and quite understated at the same time. As much as I do still love to rock and bold, statement brow, it just does not suit a barely there Summer make-up look, unfortunately!

Marc Jacobs New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipstick || Similarly to foundation, I prefer a lighter consistency on my lips during the warmer months too. Luckily for me, there is a whole host of beauty brands that offer these kinds of lip products, which means that thankfully, I do not need to sacrifice on colour or comfort in the Summer. My favourite lip collection specifically for this time of year comes from Marc Jacobs Beauty, and it is their, New Nudes Sheer Gel Lipsticks, that I really love. These particular lipsticks feel like a balm upon application, yet they have a lovely sheer-light colour payoff that can be built up enough to rival any stain or gloss. The finish they offer is a subtle shine but without the stickiness of a gloss, and the comfort factor on the lips is ten out of ten!

For me, Sun-kissed, bronzed and radiant looking skin is what really depicts the perfect Summer make-up look, and I find that by using each of these products together in my daily make-up routine, I can create that specific look that I desire, in the most natural way.
What is your go-to Summer make-up look? Do you like to keep it natural?
